School's Out:

Filming began on School's Out on Sunday July 21, 1991. This two-hour special is a follow up to the Degrassi TV series. Despite desperate attempts to keep the old gang together Joey, Snake, Wheels, Caitlin, Lucy, Spike and others head in different directions. School's Out was the final 90 minute film that was broadcast in Canada on Sunday January 5th, 1992. It took us to the Degrassi gang one year after "The Last Dance" episode. Most of the gang is finished high school, and the made for tv film depicts their lives during the summer.It is not typical Degrassi style, as there is more adult imagery,and more adult content. I did not like the film as well as the series', as I found the characters behaving outside of their personality. The ending is disappointing and I found it sad. I was frankly disappointed with the ending of this wonderful television series. Who said that life has to have happy endings?
